I was hired to remodel, furnish, and decorate an existing family room, breakfast, and kitchen open concept space for a family, with youngchildren and pets.
We needed to enhance the room's functionality, keep it kid friendly. and be appealing to the whole family. Vivid color accents make everyone happy, and sturdy furniture on a deep colored rug allow for easy living.
The remodel centered on the fireplace wall (see Before photo 3). The area required room for a larger TV and an updated, classier look. To save funds, we left the firebox in its location, and reworked its surround with a combination of great looking decorative tiles. Next we created a cabinet to house the larger TV, display shelves, and cleverly disguised doors beneath to hold the electronics. We also fixed unsightly cabinet work in the kitchen.
For easy maintenance, I selected upholstery fabric made of "Crypton", a fabric that is cleanable with diluted bleach!
